Kolkata-based Jupiter International has secured an investment of Rs 300 crore from ValueQuest SCALE PE fund. This would help to strengthen the company's solar cell manufacturing capabilities amidst India's growing demand for solar energy, and accelerate its growth trajectory.
This strategic infusion will be utilised to enhance the company’s existing solar cell capacity and to set up new module manufacturing operations, with plans to develop a 1.8 GW solar cell and a 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing facility.
Furthermore, Jupiter International has forged a joint venture with AmpIn Energy to develop an integrated solar cell and module capacity of 1.2 GW each.
Jupiter International, with manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, currently boasts a production capacity of 800 MW and is set to considerably upscale operations by setting up new facilities, positioning itto meet the increasing demand both domestically and internationally.
