Two leading Indian battery energy storage firms, Statcon Energiaa and Su-vastika, have entered into a strategic alliance to accelerate India’s transition to advanced lithium-based backup power solutions.
The collaboration, aimed at both domestic and global markets, merges Statcon Energiaa’s expertise in battery storage and solar inverters with Su-vastika’s innovation portfolio, including lithium battery patents and specialised inverter systems. "My vision is clear - to eliminate the need for diesel generators in both residential and commercial sectors by empowering India with reliable, efficient battery storage solutions," said Kunwer Sachdev, founder of Su-kam and known as the 'Inverter Man of India'.
India’s battery energy storage sector is projected to grow from USD 7.8 billion in 2024 to over USD 32 billion by 2030, nearly 27 percent CAGR. Backed by Rotomag Enertec, the alliance strengthens India’s shift from lead-acid to lithium-ion technologies, aligning with national decarbonisation goals.
