K2 Infragen has won a Rs 262 crore contract from Indian Railways to enhance the traction power system along the Luni to Bhildi section in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The project involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 2x25 kV AC traction system, along with substations, sectioning posts, and SCADA systems. This contract is part of Indian Railways’ electrification and capacity expansion programme. The contract has been awarded to K2 Infragen in a joint venture with Salasar Techno Engineering, with K2 Infragen holding a 74 percent stake.
This order, which boosts the company’s order book beyond Rs 500 crore, marks a milestone as it positions K2 Infragen for larger infrastructure projects in the railway power sector. The company is focusing on expanding its footprint in railway electrification and power transmission while ensuring high-quality, timely project execution.
