Renewable energy company KP Group has announced an investment of Rs 8,000 crore to establish a network of hydrogen and electric vehicle (EV) fuel stations throughout Gujarat.
The initiative was formalised through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with the Government of Gujarat during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Mehsana. The project, set to commence in 2026, aims to create approx. 1,000 work opportunities and promote clean mobility across the state. The government will support KP Group by facilitating necessary approvals and clearances under existing policies.
KP Group’s Chairman, Faruk G Patel, emphasised the company’s commitment to a greener and more self-reliant Gujarat. This move aligns with Gujarat’s “Viksit Gujarat to Viksit Bharat” vision and complements previous KP Group investments totalling Rs 17,790 crore in renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hybrid power, and green hydrogen production.
