Karnataka Power Corporation (KPCL) is mulling to set up a 2.5 million tpa
liquefied natural gas import terminal at Karwar port.
KPCL had invited tenders from various entities for comprehensive study of
technology, consultancy services for developing functional specifications for
the terminal.
The terminal is expected to supply gas to the proposed 2,100 MW Tadadi
combined cycle plant near Karwar in Uttar Kannada district.
The last date of submission of bids is 1 April 2010.
