The Odisha State Cabinet has approved a transformative investment proposal from the Kalyani Group, marking the state's entry into high-technology manufacturing sectors such as aerospace, advanced automotive manufacturing, and specialty materials.
The approval covers three interconnected projects with a total investment of Rs 17,250 crore, expected to generate around 12,000 high-skilled employment opportunities. Kalyani Steels will establish an integrated advanced specialty steel project at Gajamara, Dhenkanal, with a capacity to produce 7,00,000 tonne of specialty steel and 10,000 tonne of titanium alloy annually. Saarloha Advanced Materials will set up a facility to manufacture superalloys, titanium alloys, specialty steel rolled products, and advanced metal powders.
Bharat Forge will build a cutting-edge casting, forging, and precision machining plant to serve the aerospace, automotive, and green energy industries. To support this initiative, the state government has approved a special incentive package, including a 45 percent capital investment subsidy on plant and machinery, ensuring full vertical integration in Odisha’s manufacturing landscape.
