Kapil Mohan & Associates Hydro Power Pvt Ltd will be setting up two small hydro-electric power projects in Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency has awarded two mini hydro electric power projects (5 MW and 4 MW) to the company. The 5 MW power project will come up in Chamba and the 4 MW project will be located in Kullu.

The company had appointed a Shimla based Sai Engineering Foundation for preparing DPR and the same has been completed. However company has not yet applied for environment clearance for both the projects and the company plans do the same shortly.

The company will be finalising the main equipment supplier in the next 4-5 months. Also the company hopes to sign the power purchase agreement within the next 6 months. Work on both the project is scheduled to begin within a year and both the projects are expected to be completed within two years.
