With Andhra Pradesh redrawing its district boundaries, the Kris City project in SPSR Nellore is regaining attention as a major industrial initiative.
District Collector, Himanshu Shukla, recently inspected the vast land earmarked for the project, which is progressing at an estimated investment of Rs 1,100 crore. Large plots ranging from 100 to 200 acres are being developed, including logistics hubs and warehouses that will be connected to the nearby Krishnapatnam Port. “We are confident of completing the major infrastructure works of Phase I before the end of 2026,” DC Shukla said.
The project, which spans 7,500 acres, is strategically located just 10 km from Krishnapatnam Port, one of India’s fastest-growing ports, and benefits from robust transport links, including highways, rail, and nearby airports. Kris City is a key part of the Chennai–Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, aimed at enhancing India’s competitiveness in the global market.
