Chennai-based Kshema Power has won a Rs 108 crore contract to construct a 400kV transmission line in Ananthapuram district of Andhra Pradesh.
The 42-km single-circuit line, mounted on double-circuit towers, will evacuate power from a one GW wind farm, playing a vital role in strengthening the state’s renewable energy infrastructure. The project marks Kshema Power’s re-entry into the extra high-voltage (EHV) transmission segment. The company's responsibilities cover the entire project lifecycle—design approvals, material sourcing, civil works, tower erection, regulatory clearances, testing, and final commissioning.
Kshema plans to deploy specialised teams to ensure efficient execution with a focus on safety and quality. This transmission link is seen as a strategic step forward in supporting large-scale renewable integration into the national grid.
