REC Power Development and Consultancy has invited bids aimed at strengthening the transmission infrastructure in Karnataka to support the integration of an additional three GW of renewable energy.
The contract targets specific enhancements in the regions of Davanagere (0.25 GW) and Bellary (2.75 GW), both key areas in Karnataka's green energy development strategy. The work encompasses design, engineering, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of the required systems.
This transmission system upgrade is part of a broader national objective to improve renewable energy evacuation capacity and grid stability. This move aligns with India’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy base while ensuring seamless power distribution through robust infrastructure.
The due date for bid submission is 28 November, 2025.
