Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a major ultra-mega contract from Adani Power to build eight thermal power units of 800 MW each, totaling 6,400 MW of new generation capacity.

The order will be carried out by L&T Energy – CarbonLite Solutions (LTECLS), L&T’s specialized arm for advanced power and low-carbon technologies. The contract covers complete design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of boiler-turbine-generator (BTG) packages along with auxiliaries and control & instrumentation systems.

Adani Power, India’s largest private thermal power producer with over 18,000 MW installed capacity, aims to deliver reliable power to millions. This deal deepens the long-standing collaboration between L&T and Adani, combining engineering expertise and a shared vision for dependable and efficient energy solutions. LTECLS leverages global partnerships to enhance its engineering and project execution capabilities.
