L&T’s Minerals & Metals (M&M) business has won contracts from the Steel Authority of India (SAIL) and other domestic clients for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. 

As part of SAIL’s modernisation programme, the IISCO Steel Plant at Burnpur, West Bengal, is set to increase crude steel capacity from 2.5 MTPA to 6.5 MTPA. L&T M&M has been awarded the complete EPC package for critical process plants, including the coke oven battery, by-product plant, basic oxygen furnace, and specialised material handling equipment. Separately, the Bokaro Steel Plant in Jharkhand will see the establishment of Sinter Plant 2 under L&T’s execution. 

The company's business vertical has also secured multiple orders for advanced material handling systems, including Stacker Reclaimers and Wagon Tipplers, highlighting its technological expertise and reliability across the minerals and metals value chain.
