In a major boost for development of Noida International Airport, a pact was signed between the Uttar Pradesh government's joint venture company and Zurich International Airport AG's special purpose vehicle on 31 July 2021 for handing over of the 1,334 ha land at the project site in Jewar.
The license memorandum was signed between Noida International Airport (NIAL) and Zurich International Airport's SPV Yamuna International Airport (YIAPL).
The airport, billed to be the largest in India upon completion, is coming up in Jewar near Delhi and being developed in four phases. Phase-I will be spread in 1,334 ha and have two runways with an initial annual passenger capacity of 12 million.
