MOIL, India’s leading manganese ore producer, has issued an expression of interest (EOI) for the operation of its underground mines in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra through engagement of a mine developer cum operator (MDO).

The mines covered  include Ukwa and Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh, and Chikla, Munsar, and Gumgaon in Maharashtra. The EOI aims to outsource the mining operations to experienced private operators, ensuring efficient extraction, production, and management of resources while adhering to safety and environmental standards. 

This initiative reflects MOIL’s strategic move to enhance productivity, leverage private sector efficiencies, and modernize mining operations across its key manganese production sites.

Firms with expertise in underground mining and operational capabilities are invited to submit their proposals by the closing date of 30 September, 2025.
