Four companies have acquired land in Indore region proposing an investment of more than Rs 250 crore for setting up facilities for textile units, engineering and phosphate manufacturing in Indore region. The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has issued a letter of intent (LOI) to these companies.
The factories will be set up at Jetapur, Pithampur, Jhanjharwada and Ujjaini. It will generate employment generation for around 3,000 people.
There may be a likely expansion of the area of the PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park coming up in Dhar district. The state has received 20 investment proposals amounting to Rs 6,842 crore for the park with the potential for employment generation for 24,820 people.
Recently, MPIDC is pursuing the expansion of the existing industrial areas by adding and offering undeveloped land to the industries.
