Maruti Suzuki India has achieved a major manufacturing milestone by producing over 22.55 lakh vehicles in calendar year 2025, the highest annual output in the company’s history.
This marked the second consecutive year the automaker crossed the 20-lakh production level. The figures include vehicles made for domestic sales, exports, and OEM supplies, reflecting strong overall demand. The top five models by production volume during the year were Fronx, Baleno, Swift, Dzire, and Ertiga. Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi credited the achievement to the dedication of employees and close collaboration with supplier partners, highlighting the role of high localisation in maintaining global quality standards. Maruti Suzuki reaffirmed its commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and continued expansion of manufacturing capabilities.
Starting operations in 1983, the company now runs plants in Gurugram, Manesar, Kharkhoda, and Gujarat, producing 17 models and over 650 variants. It plans to scale capacity to four million units annually to meet growing domestic and export demand.
