After missing multiple deadlines, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has set a new target to complete the Gurugram–Pataudi highway by March 2026.
Initially scheduled for completion in 2023, the 46.1 km highway project was delayed due to litigation over land, afforestation issues, utility shifting, and changes in the project’s scope. The project, valued at approx. Rs 1,000 crore, has faced multiple setbacks, including the addition of 10 new structures beyond the original plan. Yogesh Tilak, NHAI’s Project Director, stated, “The majority of work on the entire highway has been completed, and now the finishing work remains, which will be completed in the next three months. We will complete the work by March 31 and make this highway operational.”
However, the flyover at Dwarka Expressway is expected to be finished by June 2026. Once completed, the highway will connect Gurugram with Pataudi and Rewari, featuring flyovers, underpasses, and culverts.
