NLC India (NLCIL) has received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) for the development of a 110 MW (AC) Grid connected solar PV Power Project in Uttar Pradesh.
This solar project will provide power to NCRTC’s regional rapid transit system (RRTS) corridor, contributing to its goal of sustainable urban development. The project, which will be developed in captive mode, was awarded to NLCIL after a competitive bidding process. It involves the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the solar plant. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months from the signing of the power purchase agreement (PPA).
As part of the initiative, NCRTC, a joint venture of the Government of India and several state governments, is focused on reducing its environmental impact through renewable energy, to establish a sustainable and efficient urban transport system.
