The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation's (NMMC's) new headquarters' building, located at CBD, Belapur, in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, will open its doors to the public on 15 April, 2014.

The new headquarters' building is spread over an area of 19,995 sq mtr of land, which includes a building of basement + ground + five upper floors with atriums and double heights.

The building will have all the civic departments like education, public health, planning and welfare, property tax and local body departments under one roof. These departments were earlier located at Belapur, Turbhe, Vashi and Koparkhairne.

On 18 February 2014, Sharad Pawar, Union Agriculture Minister and NCP Chief, inaugurated the new NMMC headquarters' building.

Apart from this, the  building has been built in a dome structure with its terrace fitted with anti-reflective tiles, and will have amenities like a rainwater harvesting system, and a solar panel system.
