NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has successfully commenced commercial operations of an additional 14.43 MW solar capacity at its Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat.
This marks the eleventh segment of the total 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project, which is part of the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, Tranche-III. The new capacity began operations on 10 February, 2026, at 00:00 hours. The project is being executed by NTPC Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of NGEL, and plays a significant role in NTPC Group's broader renewable energy strategy.
With this addition, NGEL’s total commercial capacity now stands at 8,827.68 MW, further strengthening its position as one of India’s leading producers of renewable energy.
