1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

NTPC's Board approves investment proposal for Lara power project Stage-II

The Board of Directors of the NTPC has accorded investment approval for Lara super thermal power project (STPP), Stage-II (2x800 MW). The power station is located near Lara village within the Pussore Taluk of Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh.

The STPP, with an estimated cost of Rs 15,529.99 crore, boasts a combined installed capacity of 1,600 MW divided into two units, each capable of generating 800 MW of power.

On 30 September, 2019, the inaugural unit of this facility began its operations, and further, on 20 July, 2020, the second unit commenced production at the plant, further bolstering the power supply in the area. NTPC targets to achieve a total installed capacity of 130 GW by 2032.

Currently, NTPC operates 55 power stations, including 24 coal, seven combined cycle gas, and 11 solar projects, among others. In addition, it has nine coal as well as a gas station, which is owned by joint ventures (JVs).
