Nagpur is set to witness the rise of its tallest commercial complex at 102.9 mtrs. as part of a Rs 235 crore redevelopment of Cotton Market.
On 14 July, 2025, Municipal Commissioner Abhijeet Chaudhari approved the Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation's (MSIDC) proposal under Nagpur Municipal Corporation's (NMC) vision for sustainable and holistic urban renewal. “The project will be implemented under the design, build, operate and finance model,” said an official involved in the development.
Spread over 8,070 sq. mtrs., the new integrated complex will offer a built-up area of 60,947 sq. mtrs. The current decades-old Cotton Market, in a dilapidated state, will be transformed into a modern multi-use vertical hub. The project, which received planning clearance on 06 June, 2025, will include two towers: one for offices and another for a hotel with service apartments from the fifth to 24th floor.
The lower levels will host retail shops, cafes, restaurants, a cinema, health club, library, kids' play area, and function hall. Parking will accommodate 319 cars and 658 two-wheelers. Rehabilitation for 28 shops is planned at a cost of Rs 6.57 crore. The total civil construction cost is estimated at Rs 291.94 crore.
