The new civil air terminal built by Airport Authority of India (AAI) was opened at Nal, in Bikaner district of Rajasthan.
On 29 June 2014, Vasundhara Raje, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, inaugurated the new terminal at Bikaner, which has a capacity to handle upto 100 passengers per hour.
The terminal building has a total built-up area of 900 sq mtr and is equipped with facilities including check-in counters, a VIP lounge and car parking.
In addition to the new civil air terminal at Bikaner Airport, the authority has commissioned new terminal buildings at Chennai, Kolkata, Raipur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar and Puducherry airports.
