Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is likely to set up a wind mill in Paradip in
Orissa.
The wind mill to be owned and operated by IOC is expected to commence
operations either in or after 2012. The technology used in running the wind mill
is likely to be imported from overseas.
The investment and other modalities on the proposed mill were yet to be
worked out as things were at a conceptual stage.
Meanwhile, IOC is planning to set up a new depot at Jharsuguda in western
Orissa at an investment of Rs 100 crore. The proposed depot is likely to have
60,000 kilo litres capacity. At present, the company is scouting for 35-40 acre
for this modern depot.
