GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) is taking measures to rope in
partners for its proposed aerospace park in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
GHIAL is in discussion with all the domestic airlines and hopes to finalise a
few tenants by end-2009. The domestic airliners have evinced interest in
expanding their operations, and are bullish on the aviation opportunities.
The aerospace park, located in a 250-acre SEZ at Shamshabad near Hyderabad
(Andhra Pradesh) entails an investment of over Rs 1,500 crore.
The designing work for the park is complete and the company is likely to
float tenders soon for construction. The park is slated to be completed in a
span of five-six years.
