Shriram EPC has signed an MoU with North West Electric Power Design Institute
of China to form a conglomerate to undertake EPC contracts for Thermal power
projects in India.
The company is expected to be the lead partner in the consortium as per the
MoU which is reportedly valid for five years. The MoU is likely to enable
Shriram EPC to bid for power projects that were previously out of its reach.
North West Electric specialising in design, consultation and EPC projects in
the power sector has been involved in a large number of coal based power plants
in China and overseas ranging from 25 MW to 1,000 MW.
