Areva T&D India has secured an order from Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission
Corporation for construction of switchyard for Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut
Utpadan Nigam's 1,000 MW Anpara D Thermal power project in Sonebhadra district.
The project is estimated to cost Rs 396 crore and is slated for commissioning
during 2011-12.
The construction of switchyard involves three phases. The Phase I, to be
completed by March 2011, includes constructing a 400 kV switchyard. In Phase II,
setting up of first generator transformer, 1,000 MVA ICT, associated 765 kV
Unnao and Anpara-C line bays along with line and bus reactors is to be
implemented. Phase III involves setting up of second generator transformer and
completion of switchyard by December 2011.
