Nippon Steel & Sumikin Engineering Company, jointly with Marubeni Corporation, has received an order from JSW Steel for blast furnace revamping of JSW's Dolvi works blast furnace.
The companies has secured the contract through a competitive bidding process. The order has been awarded for supplying a highly efficient blast furnace, whose technology has been developed in Japan, to India.
The revamping method will shorten the shutdown period to less than 100 days and minimize production loss.
JSW Steel, through its subsidiary, Amba River Coke, is developing the integrated steel plant at Dolvi in Raigarh district of Maharashtra with an investment of Rs 9,000 crore.
