Noida International Airport (Jewar) is poised to become a leading hub for both air connectivity and environmental sustainability.
Developed with a net-zero concept in collaboration with Zurich Airport Group, it has earned India's first IGBC-certified green campus airport distinction. The terminal building is designed to minimise energy, water, and waste consumption. Approx. 20 percent of the parking area will feature fast and standard electric vehicle charging stations, and all airside operational vehicles will be fully electric with multiple charging points across the premises.
To support green energy, a solar farm spanning 83 acres will generate 51,966 megawatt-hours of renewable energy. Additionally, rainwater harvesting ponds and an RNG plant will supply water and green fuel to the airport, respectively. The airport will implement a comprehensive waste management system for recycling and scientific treatment. An environment monitoring plan will regularly track air, water, soil, waste, and sewage standards to ensure environmental safety.
