Oil India (OIL), a Maharatna public sector enterprise, and Mahanagar Gas(MGL), a leading city gas distribution company, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 06 October, 2025, to explore joint opportunities across the LNG value chain and clean energy sectors.
The MoU was signed by senior officials from both organizations in the presence of top management, including the Director (Operations) and Director (HR) of OIL and the Managing Director of MGL. OIL, which is expanding its hydrocarbon exploration and gas production initiatives, aims to accelerate clean energy development.
MGL, having entered the LNG value chain with retail stations, continues to pursue sustainable energy ventures. The collaboration will focus on assessing the technical and commercial viability of LNG for heavy-duty transport and scaling up successful clean energy pilots to commercial levels.
