Optiemus Infracom, a leading Indian telecom and manufacturing group, has partnered with US-based Ordinary Theory to create a joint venture focused on manufacturing and marketing smart enterprise hardware and industrial solutions.
The collaboration aims to accelerate India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem and support the government’s Make in India initiative. Ordinary Theory, known for its expertise in fintech, logistics, retail, and AI, will contribute cutting-edge hardware and software innovation, while Optiemus will hold a majority stake and utilise its advanced production facilities in India.
The JV plans to develop smart hardware solutions across payments, retail, logistics, and AI sectors, offering locally made, reliable alternatives to global products. This venture supports India’s digital transformation and aspires to strengthen the country’s position as a global smart hardware innovation hub. Additionally, the partnership is expected to generate employment and enhance skill development within India’s growing electronics manufacturing industry.
