PG Electroplast (PGEL), one of India’s leading electronic manufacturing services (EMS) providers, has signed a definitive agreement with PAX India, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed PAX Global Technology, to locally manufacture PAX-branded point-of-sale (POS) devices.

Production is expected to begin at PGEL’s existing facilities by the end of 2025, marking PGEL’s entry into the payments and financial technology hardware segment. The partnership supports the “Make in India” and “Digital India” missions, emphasising scalability, reliability, and localisation in meeting India’s rising demand for secure payment systems.
