VA Tech WABAG (WABAG), a leading Indian multinational in pure-play water technology, has secured a Rs 46.50 crore order from RenewSys India to deliver integrated water management systems for its upcoming two GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The work scope covers the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, installation and commissioning of an ultra-pure water (UPW) system, an effluent treatment plant (ETP), and a zero liquid discharge (ZLD) system, all to be executed within 11 months. 

This contract marks WABAG’s strategic entry into the solar manufacturing sector, strengthening its portfolio across UPW, ETP, and ZLD technologies while aligning with its diversification strategy into high-growth areas such as solar, green hydrogen, and semiconductors.
