Premier Energies, one of India’s largest integrated solar manufacturers, has started commercial operations of a new 1.2 GW TOPCon solar cell manufacturing line in Hyderabad, Telangana, with the launch of its next-generation 620 W DCR solar modules powered by advanced G12R tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) technology.

These large-format panels, among the highest-output modules now available in India, are designed to deliver exceptional power density, improved temperature coefficient, and enhanced lowlight performance. The rectangular G12R N type cell format allows for higher string power and BOS optimization, making the modules well-suited for utility-scale installations, commercial facilities, and industrial rooftop projects.

The key advantages include “High Output” for maximum energy yield in both space-constrained rooftops and large ground-mounted projects, “TOPCon Efficiency” for superior conversion compared to conventional PERC technology, and “Rectangular G12R Format” that offers an optimized aspect ratio, better layout, reduced system costs, and greater power delivery. The launch reflects Premier Energies’ commitment to advancing solar manufacturing in India.
