KPS3 Transmission, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has successfully commissioned the establishment of Khavda Pooling Station-3 (KPS3) in Khavda RE Park project in Gujarat.
Secured through tariff based competitive bidding, the project marks a significant advancement in inter-state transmission infrastructure. The commissioning took effect on 04 August, 2025, enhancing the capacity and reliability of renewable energy transmission in the region. The notification for commercial operation (DOCO) was receivedon 18 August, 2025, officially recognising the project’s operational status.
The KPS3 project is expected to play a crucial role in stabilsing the grid and facilitating efficient power transfer from the Khavda Renewable Energy Park to key demand centres. “The successful commissioning demonstrates our capability in executing complex inter-state transmission projects on schedule,”a spokesperson said. The milestone underscores Power Grid’s commitment to strengthening India’s power transmission network and supporting renewable energy integration.
