Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool and launched as well as laid foundation stones for development projects worth approx. Rs 13,430 crore across multiple sectors today.
Welcomed by CM N Chandrababu Naidu, Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, and Deputy CM K. Pawan Kalyan, PM's visit included a stop at the Srisailam temple and Sri Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra. Major projects include the Rs 2,880 crore Kurnool-III Pooling Station power transmission line, Rs 4,920 crore industrial zones in Orvakal and Kopparthy, and a Rs 960 crore six-lane Greenfield Highway between Sabbavaram and Sheelanagar. Additionally, Rs 1,140 crore worth of road projects and over Rs 1,200 crore in railway upgrades were launched to enhance logistics and reduce congestion.
Energy projects include the Rs 1,730 crore Srikakulam–Angul Gas Pipeline and a Rs 200 crore LPG bottling plant. The PM also inaugurated BEL’s Rs 360-crore advanced night vision products factory in Krishna district.
