Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two major milestones in India’s aviation and space sectors this week.
Today, PM Modi will launch Safran Aircraft Engine Services’ India (SAESI) facility, a cutting-edge maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) center for LEAP engines, which power Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. This state-of-the-art facility, with an investment of Rs 1,300 crore, is set to service up to 300 engines annually and will create over 1,000 employment opportunities. The PMO called it a major step toward "Aatmanirbharta" in aviation.
On 27 November, 2025, the Prime Minister will unveil Skyroot’s first orbital rocket, Vikram-I, and the company's Infinity Campus, a facility designed to build one rocket per month. Skyroot, founded by ex-ISRO scientists, symbolises India’s growing private space capabilities, demonstrating the country’s rise as a global space leader.
