Noida International Airport is expected to receive its aerodrome licence by November 30, marking the final step before commercial operations can begin.
The airport, located in Uttar Pradesh's National Capital Region, has completed most of its inspections, with a full security vetting scheduled for November 24. Once the licence is granted, airlines including Air India, Akasa Air, and IndiGo will determine the launch date, pending the availability of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the formal inauguration.
RK Singh, CEO of Noida International Airport (NIAL), stated, “Once the licence is granted, the private concessionaire—along with airlines—will decide when operations can begin.” The airport’s systems, including its ATC tower, fire and rescue services, and security systems, have been thoroughly tested, ensuring compliance with aviation standards.
