Promax Power has received a letter of award (LoA) from Hubli Electricity Supply Company (HESCOM), a Government of Karnataka undertaking, for setting up a 6.0 MW (AC) grid-connected solar power project.

This project will be developed under the build, own, and operate (BOO) / RESCO model, and will operate for 25 years from the commercial operation date. The contract has an estimated value of Rs 70–75 crore over its tenure, with a rate of Rs 2.97 per unit (inclusive of taxes) on an interim basis, depending on actual power generation.

HESCOM’s commitment to renewable energy was highlighted by its announcement, “This partnership will significantly enhance the state's clean energy capacity." The project marks a key step in expanding solar energy production in the region, contributing to Karnataka's renewable energy goals and reducing its carbon footprint in the coming decades.
