The Grand Medical Foundation's Ruby Hall is
planning to set up a cancer hospital in Pune. The hospital to entail an
investment of Rs.42 crore is being undertaken with part sponsorship by Pune
businessmen Mr Zavary and Mr Cyrus Poonawalla, Deputy Managing Trustees of Ruby
Hall Clinic.
The proposed hospital would be housed in new
seven storey complex and expected to be commissioned within 12 to 14 months. The
Poonawalla Cancer Care Centre would have cancer diagnostic and treatment
facilities, consulting rooms for medical, surgical and radiation oncologists,
radiation therapy facilities and a day care centre for chemotherapy.
