REC Power Development & Consultancy (RECPDCL), acting as bid process coordinator, has awarded letters of intent (LoIs) to Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) and G R Infraprojects (GRIL) under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) framework for two interstate transmission system (ISTS) projects.
The LoIs were issued on 27 August, 2025, according to stock exchange disclosures. PGCIL secured the project titled “Transmission system strengthening at Davanagere for integration of RE generation,” implemented through special purpose vehicle (SPV) “Davanagere Power Transmission” PGCIL had been among four qualified bidders for this project, as earlier reported by T&D India.
GRIL won the scheme “Transmission system for evacuation of power from RE projects in Rajgarh (1,500 MW) SEZ in Madhya Pradesh-Phase III & evacuation of power from RE projects in Neemuch (1,000 MW) SEZ in Madhya Pradesh-Phase II,” incorporated under SPV “Rajgarh Neemuch Transmission.” This scheme earlier drew seven bidders. RECPDCL will formally transfer project SPVs to the winning developers soon.
