Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has bagged a Rs 178.64 crore contract from IRCON International for a major signalling and telecommunications as it has received the letter of acceptance (LoA).
The order covers supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of modern signalling systems across multiple railway stations. The scope includes setting up Electronic Interlocking systems at 10 new stations such as Surakachhar, Katghora Road, Bhingra, and Putuwa, along with six new intermediate block signalling systems between Bhingra-Putuwa and Dhangawan-Pendra Road.
A new Section Control System with train control communication equipment will also be commissioned in the Gevra Road-Pendra Road section, while modifications will be made at Kusmunda Block Station yard and SECL SILO Siding yard. The contract has an 11-month timeline, including the monsoon period.
