Reliance Infrastructure (Rlnfra) has won two EPC contracts in Bangladesh together valued at Rs 5,000 crore. RInfra has won the projects on international competitive bidding (ICB).
The first EPC contract envisages setting up the entire infrastructure of a 750 MW LNG-based combined cycle power plant at Meghnaghat in Dhaka, while the second project is for building a 500 mmscfd floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) based integrated LNG terminal project at Kutubdia Island, both in Bangladesh.
Both the projects are to be executed in 24 months and are to be completed by 2019.
The scope of work for both the projects involves design, engineering, supply, transportation, erection, testing and commissioning processes. The integrated LNG terminal project work will include setting up a jetty and onshore and offshore gas pipelines.
