Mumbai based SKF India plans to set up a new ball bearings manufacturing
plant in Haridwar, Uttarakhand at an investment of Rs 150 crore.
The proposed facility is expected to be developed over 10 acre. Initially,
the plant will supply to Hero Honda and eventually cater to the demands of other
companies like Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland and Mahindra & Mahindra.
It will supply ball-bearings to Tata Motors for its Pantnagar plant
(Uttarakhand) and Bajaj Auto for its Rudrapur facility (Uttarakhand) in the
later stage.
