SNF India, a global supplier specialising exclusively in the manufacture of
water-soluble polymers for water and wastewater treatment is planning to set up
a manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh.
The company is likely to set up the proposed plant at Parawada in
Visakhapatnam district, at an investment of Rs 200 crore. The plant is to
manufacture polyacrylamide emulsions and liquids followed by acrylamide and
powder polyacrylamide.
The project to be developed in phased manner is slated to be ready by 2013.
In 2011-12, manufacturing facilities to produce 8,000 tonne of emulsions, 18,000
tonne of acrylamide, and 15,000 tonne of anionic powder are to be created and in
FY 13, facilities to produce 15,000 tonne of cationic powder polymer is expected
to come up.
