Safex Chemicals, a leading player in the specialty chemicals sector, has commenced operations at its largest manufacturing facility in Bharuch, Gujarat. Commissioned in April 2025, the plant is a critical step in Safex’s expansion strategy, aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency and meeting rising demand in agricultural markets.
Initially capable of producing 30 tonne of liquid formulations per day—with scalability up to 80 tonne, the facility adds substantial capacity to Safex’s existing 51,395 MT of overall production including liquid, powder and granules across India. The facility will produce a wide range of liquid and powder crop protection products, and serve as a key manufacturing base for Safex’s agritech platform, Golden Farms.
Featuring fully automated lines and a cutting-edge R&D centre, the plant is designed for advanced innovation, sustainability, and compliance. It also includes a 100 KW solar unit and a robust Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) program.
Safex, which currently employs over 1,550 people globally, will generate 300 new direct opportunities through this facility. The company continues to invest in community development via CSR initiatives in education, basic infrastructure, and sports, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive growth.
