US-based mortgage servicing fintech software company, Sagent has opened its non-US headquarters in Chennai. This expansion will support the newly incorporated software engineering team resulting from Sagent’s 2022 partnership deal with servicing major Mr. Cooper.

The Chennai centre is equipped to host 120 team members, and, Sagent will be adding both talent and operations to accelerate its building of cloud-native platforms to serve America’s complex USD 13 trillion mortgage industry.

The Warburg Pincus-backed firm has set a key milestone of accelerating its cloud-native mortgage servicing software development in its India operations.

Sagent is known to power America’s bank and non-bank lenders to engage, retain, and modernise the home ownership experience for borrowers through its mortgage servicing platforms. It offers flexible, scalable, solutions to engage borrowers with lower servicing costs and enhanced value of servicing rights along the market cycle.
