Schneider Electric Infrastructure is planning to expand capacity of vacuum interrupters & vacuum circuit breakers by setting up a manufacturing unit in Kolkata.
The board of directors of the company at their meeting held on 06 September 2022 has approved the project. The company have existing capacity of 80k MV vacuum interrupters.
The capacity will be increased by 180k MV vacuum interrupters and MV vacuum circuit breakers assembly lines.
The proposed investment will of Rs.138 crore and to be funded through internal accruals and/or borrowings.
The proposed capacity is to be added from FY24 to FY28 with progressive investment. The first mature production is expected in 2025.
