As many as seven firms have submitted bids in response to the RfPs issued by Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) for preparation of a master plan of the area in Andhra Pradesh.

Originally, the authority had invited RfPs for the project in October 2013, but the submission date of the bids was later extended to 10 March, 2014.

RfPs have been invited for providing consultancy services for preparation of master plan for 5,573 sq km Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) area, including review and revision of existing master plans and preparation of zonal development plans.

The bidders are: Aarvee Associates Engineers & Consultants and Surbana International Consultants of Hyderabad; EGIS India Consulting Engineers of Secunderabad; Department of Architecture; Andhra University College of Engineering of Visakhapatnam; Feedback Infra of Gurgaon; LEA Associates South Asia of New Delhi; and Rudrabhishek Enterprises of Noida.
