Shweta Solar, a leading player in India’s renewable energy sector, is advancing its mission to create a robust domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.
Focused on high-efficiency panels, tech integration, and research-driven innovation, the company aims to be a key player in India’s clean energy transition. Shweta Solar emphasises the importance of reducing import dependence and fostering indigenous technology to ensure energy security. The company envisions a complete solar production industry in India, spanning polysilicon, ingots, wafers, and cells.
With a commitment to R&D and next-gen technologies, Shweta Solar is launching a 1.2 GW solar module plant in NCR to meet increasing demand. This expansion supports India’s goal of becoming a global solar hub and reinforces the shift to cleaner, locally produced renewable energy.
Sanjay Garg, Director, Shweta Solar said, “At Shweta Solar, we believe that reducing import dependence, developing indigenous technology, and investing in R&D are critical to India’s energy security. However, self-reliance in solar manufacturing goes beyond assembling modules in India. It actually involves creating a strong ecosystem across the entire value chain—from cells and wafers to modules and balance-of-system components.”
